This picture was taken on hwy 1 in kandahar afghanistan, there was a break in action and had time to pose fora picture.  I came home on leave from afghanistan and was greeted by you guys at the airport.  That is when i realized what an impression it makes on us when you are there. you feel like everyone is just going about their lives not really knowing what is going on over there, and when you get off the plane and the first people you see are you guys, it really breaks the ice. it makes you feel as if there are others out there who think about you without knowing you.  I really appreciate all you have done for the pacific northwest soldiers.  on 9 oct I was wounded in an ied explosion and returned to the states, so if there is anything you guys need help with dont be afraid to ask.  I am in the warrior transition battalion at fort campbell ky

This is why we do what we do!!
