A Veteran - Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who at one point in his/her life wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of America for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor. There are far too many people in this country who don't understand it.

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children through the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

Greg Gauck, who along with Troy Farris, held a spud feed at SMURF that netted over $800! Thanks to all the SMURF residents who supported the feed!
  • Thanks also to Lisa, Tami and Hope, who contributed cash from the Christmas families fund. 
  • The supportive WRPS Senior Management allowed placement of donation bins at strategic locations and also provided a most generous $1000 donation.
  • Thanks to everyone who donated items in the collection bins, participated in the "packing parties" to prepare packages for shipment and other supporters!
