"I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. . . . You ask, what is our policy? I say it is to wage war by land, sea, and air. War with all our might and with all the strength God has given us, and to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark and lamentable
catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs - Victory in
spite of all terrors - Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for
without victory there is no survival."

What do we mean by Patriotism in the context of our times? We venture to suggest that what we mean is a sense of National responsibility ... a Patriotism which is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion,
but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime!!
"What is a Hero?"
My heroes are the young men who faced the issues of war and possible death, and then weighed those concerns against obligations to their country. Citizen-soliders, who interrupted their personal and professional lives at their most formative stage.
"Not for fame or reward, not for place or for rank, but in simple obedience to duty, as they understood it.'
Confederate Memorial in Arlington National Cemetary
A Veteran - Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who at one point in his/her life wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of America for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor. There are far too many people in this country who don't understand it.
"There are only 2 types of warriors in this world - Those that serve tyrants and those that serve free men."
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children through the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

"The basic difference between an ordinary person and a warrior is that a warrior takes everything as a challenge while an ordinary person takes everything as a blessing or a curse." - Carlos Castaneda
